MARCH 13: ALBUM RELEASE REFLECTIONS ON MERCY

CANCELLATION NOTICE

It is with a heavy heart that I now have to announce the cancellation of my album release concert at subversiv on the 14^th. Due to ongoing health concerns regarding the spread of the new coronavirus, the decision is one we had to take after careful consideration and in light of the potential dangers that a public concert currently poses.

I would have loved to play for you, I was really looking forward to presenting my all-new material with my fabulous band, showing the world what I’ve been working on for more than a year now. Once again, let me express my gratitude towards all you people who have been more than supportive all this time!

However, safety and health now pose our main concerns.

We will look into alternative forms of live music presentation, and we will certainly play the album concert for you at a later date, when the severe threat to our collective health has faded.

For now, please remember to check out my album, which is still coming out tomorrow! It will be available through every streaming and downloading platform everywhere.

Also: Please keep in mind that cancellations like this, necessary though they may be, hit musicians* and the cultural scene at large hard – we miss out on the contact with our audiences, we miss out on presenting our works, and we miss out on revenue we need to sustain ourselves, our loved ones, and our art.

So keep supporting, streaming and downloading music by local and regional artists, for they will now need it the most - and you can enjoy their music, let it brighten your days in the face of the current news situation!

Schweren Herzens muss ich mein Albumreleasekonzert am 14. März im subversiv hiermit absagen. Aufgrund der bestehenden Situation und der Ausbreitung des neuartigen Coronavirus‘ ist es eine Entscheidung, die wir nach gründlicher Überlegung und angesichts der möglichen Gefahren, die von einem öffentlichen Konzert ausgehen können, getroffen haben.

Ich hätte so gerne für Euch gespielt, hätte Euch so gerne meine ganzen neuen Songs mit meiner fabelhaften Band vorgestellt und der Welt gezeigt, woran ich seit weit mehr als einem Jahr so intensiv gearbeitet habe. Daher an dieser Stelle auch noch einmal mein Dank an alle, die mich in dieser Zeit so wunderbar unterstützt haben!

Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt allerdings sind Sicherheit und Gesundheit unsere Hauptanliegen.

Derzeit überlegen wir, welche anderen Formen der Präsentation von Livemusik es geben kann, und wir werden das Albumreleasekonzert zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt für Euch nachholen, wenn die größte Gefahr für unsere Gesundheit vorüber ist.

An dieser Stelle kann ich noch darauf hinweisen, dass Ihr gerne mein Album hören könnt, das natürlich weiterhin morgen erscheint und weltweit in allen Streaming- und Downloadportalen zur Verfügung stehen wird.

Bitte denkt auch an das Folgende: Solche Absagen, so notwendig sie auch sind, treffen Musiker*innen und die Kulturszene insgesamt besonders hart – uns fehlt der Kontakt zu unserem Publikum, uns fehlen die Möglichkeiten, unsere Arbeiten zu präsentieren, und Verdienstmöglichkeiten fehlen auch – diesen Verdienst benötigen wir allerdings, um uns, unsere Angehörigen, unsere Kunst zu versorgen.

Daher meine Bitte: Unterstützt Eure Künstler*innen vor Ort, indem Ihr ihre Musik herunterladet und streamt, denn gerade jetzt können wir alle Eure Unterstützung gut gebrauchen – und Ihr könnt, bei der derzeitigen Nachrichtenlage, auch gute Musik gebrauchen!
